I've helped fund 0 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
...the ultimate golf challenge.
1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!
Please sponsor me today, because tackling cancer takes all of us.
Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
Last year I raised over $2000 for the cancer council by completing 4x courses from 3x different tee boxes. A total of 12x 18-hole rounds in 8 hours.
This time around I am going to ramp it up a lot, my goal for the Longest Day 2026 is to keep playing the golf course menu in alphabetical order until I make a total of 72 birdied or eagled holes. If I birdied every hole, it will still take me 72 holes to complete the challenge although an eagle will will count as 2 birdies. I will be playing off the forward tees with 10' -foot gimmies.
Hopefully this challenge is possible to complete before either I break down physically or mentally or before the equipment fails. In the Longest Day 2025, I broke a driver, a pair of shoes and quite a few golf balls in the 799 strokes it took to play 216 holes.
We would love to see other teams or people taking on the 72-hole challenge.
