This December, we are calling on golfers to help reduce the impact of cancer in Australia. Your club can help make a difference to those affected by cancer.
The Longest Day is the ultimate golf challenge designed to test the skill, strength, and stamina of your members. The challenge is to complete four consecutive rounds (72 holes) of golf in one day and raise vital funds to help Cancer Council conduct research, deliver prevention campaigns and support people as they navigate the cancer journey.
Did you know that men over 40 are 1.5 times more likely than women to be diagnosed with melanoma and twice as likely to die from it?
By participating in The Longest Day, you and your members will be playing your part in helping Cancer Council reduce these statistics.
Here are the three easy ways your club can get involved.

Become a Legendary Host Club
It’s easy to do. Here’s what’s involved:
- Open your club to non-members for the challenge and waive green fees.
- Cancer Council will list you on their website and promote your club through their social channels.
- You’ll get increased traffic through your club and possibly new members – it’s win win!

Be a Longest Day Promoter
If you’re all set for members at your club, simply sign up to be a Promoting Club.
- Put up promotional posters and flyers in your Pro shop and around the Club
- Encourage your members to take on this incredible challenge
- Use our helpful resources to help promote on social and in your club newsletters.

Challenge your staff to put in a team
Know you and your team have that something extra, be an ACE, and help us hit that Sweet-Spot!
- Register a team
- Take on the ultimate golf challenge (72 holes in one day)
- Raise vital funds to help people impacted by cancer
