Refinements

Tomorrow is the big day for this chap!

Here’s how the day (hopefully) looks like!

0530 - First round tee off. Early as possible at first light! Where do you think that tee shot is going?

0800 - finish first round with an amazing score. Head straight back to the first hole to start Round 2!
I’ll be joined by Huie from DS for this round as emotional support as he waves clippers in the air every shot I take.

1100 - finish round 2! Short break here before heading out

1116 - next tee time. This time playing as a group of four. It will be slower, but hopefully the golf is better!

1515 - round 3 ends and round 4 begins without hesitation!

1800 - This is the latest I hope to finish for the day. I also hope that at 1801 I still have hair to go home with!

Come join me on the journey by watching the updates on here, or on instagram:

Keep up with the scoreboard on either and I’ll see you there!

Practise Complete!

Just checked the current donations - over - $1650!

Pressure is mounting to play well now…

Results of a practise round from Wednesday in 35 degree heat - 31 stable-ford points and 2 birdies.

On track for a 50-50 chance of success at this point!

To The Donators

If you weren't aware (like I wasn't), the Cancer Council provides mementos for hitting particular levels of fundraising for this cause.

Thanks to your hard work and donations, I have received A Cancer Council bucket hat, A Cancer Council water bottle, and a Cancer Council long sleeve sun shirt.

To say thanks, I will be drawing the names of all who participated with a donation out of a hat and giving them away to 3 lucky winners!

Prizes will be announced on the day of play - 1st December.

The Consequences

I've had a few people ask -

"I've heard you are doing your own challenge within this challenge! What are the details?"

Well, there is a self-imposed challenge I am setting for myself on the day. The details are:

The Challenge - Complete 72 Holes with at least 128 Points of Stableford, including at least 10 birdies, off 9 Handicap @ Newcastle Golf Course.

The consequence - If I fall short on Points or Birdies - I will be cutting my hair off!

I know that this is nothing compared to what those with Cancer have to deal with on a daily basis, but raising the bar on myself to try always try harder is how I feel I can help the most.

I have been growing my hair for the better part of 15 years. It means a lot to me to keep it. It is part of my identity. However, if I can't meet my own expectations, there will be consequences.

So, whether you are donating to be a part of the fight against Cancer, to see me potentially go bald, or both,

Thank you.

A close shave

Good morning and thank you! We have almost hit my donation goal of $1000!

I thought I was setting an unrealistic goal for raising that amount for The Cancer Council and its research, but that seems to be no challenge for all those who have supported me leading into this challenge!

A pat on the back to all for their efforts and thank you again!

Almost half way!

Thanks to all so far who have donated! Almost half way to the goal in less than a week! Let’s see how far we get

HVCCC jump on board!

Thank you to HVCCC for allowing me to broadcast a special cause through the company.

Follow me in a CAP for Cancer on December 1st to raise for Cancer and help me achieve my own personal goal.

Remember - if I can’t reach my expectations, it’s off with my head… of hair.

I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...

...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!

I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.

1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!

Please sponsor me today, because tackling cancer takes all of us.

Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
