I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
Last year, we took on Cancer Council’s Longest Day challenge, completing 36 holes of golf in December to help raise funds and awareness for those affected by cancer. This year, we’re taking it one step further and challenging ourselves to complete 54 holes.
This year’s challenge has an even deeper meaning for us. In February, we sadly lost our mate, Harry Berns, to cancer. Harry was someone who always showed up for his mates and he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. We’re dedicating this year’s challenge to his memory and have named our team Birdies for Bernsy.
We’re taking on 54 holes to honour Harry, support those currently fighting cancer, and help Cancer Council continue its vital work in research, prevention and support. Every hole is for Bernsy.
