I've helped fund 0 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
The ultimate golf challenge: completing three rounds of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill, strength and stamina to raise funds for life-saving cancer research, but for me, this challenge means so much more than just golf.
Having my own ongoing battle with thyroid cancer makes this cause incredibly personal. I know firsthand the fear, uncertainty and emotional toll that comes with hearing the words "you have cancer" I've experienced the tests, treatment, waiting, and the constant worry that comes with not knowing what the future holds.
Cancer has changed my life, and it's something I never imagined I would have to face. That's why I'm determined to turn something that has been such a difficult part of my life into something positive.
By taking on this challenge, I want to help raise money for research that can lead to better treatments, earlier detection and, ultimately, a future where fewer people and their families have to experience what mine has.
1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85. That's an enormous number, and behind every statistic is a person, a family and a story.
So I'm going to make every hole count!
Please sponsor me and help me make a difference for everyone affected by cancer, including those who are still fighting, those who have finished treatment, and the families standing beside them.
Because tackling cancer takes all of us.
Together, let's tee off for a cancer-free future!
