Playing for Hope: Why We’re Taking on The Longest Day

Cancer has touched my family and those closest to me more times than anyone should have to face. We’ve seen both the heartbreak and the hope, the tough diagnoses, the long (and short) treatments, and the precious moments of recovery and resilience.
The reality also, that sometimes this leads to grief.

This year, we’re taking part in The Longest Day through the Cancer Council not just to play a marathon day of golf, but to show that we care. It’s our way of standing up for families like ours, and for all those who have faced cancer’s impact head-on.

By raising funds for breakthrough research and better treatments, we want to help make sure that in the future, fewer families have to go through what we and so many others have experienced.

Every hour on the course is a small gesture of love, remembrance, and hope. This is our way of saying we care, we remember, and we believe in a future where cancer takes fewer lives and touches fewer hearts.

I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...

...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!
