Join Me in the Ultimate Golf Challenge – Every Hole Counts Against Cancer

This year, I’m taking on the ultimate golf challenge—playing four full rounds of golf in just one day. I’ll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina by walking the course, not using a cart. It will be an endurance test, but I’m doing it for a cause that is deeply personal to me: raising funds for life-saving cancer research.

This fight is personal. My father, Chriss Mazzarella, Sr., passed away from cancer in November 2019, never having the chance to meet his grandchildren. My mother, Anne Mazzarella, has fought cancer four times and is now bravely battling it again for the fifth. Cancer has stolen too much from my family—and from so many families around the world.

To honour my father, I’m playing under the name “Team Riviera”, a tribute to the 1983 Buick Riviera convertible he lovingly restored and cherished. This challenge is not just about golf—it’s about carrying his spirit forward and fighting back against the disease that took him and continues to challenge my mother.

Cancer touches nearly every family in Australia. In fact, 1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85. I want to help change this statistic, and I believe that together we can make a difference. Every hole I play is one step closer to a cancer-free future.
