I've helped fund 0 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
FOUR ROUNDS. ONE DAY. ONE VERY GOOD REASON.
Welcome to The Independent Order of Odendaal’s and our seventh year taking on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day.
The challenge is simple.
Four rounds of golf. One day. 72 holes.
The reality is slightly less simple.
There will be good shots. There will be bad shots. There will be arguments about whether that ball was actually out of bounds. There will almost certainly be a few beers. And, if history is anything to go by, there will be plenty of questionable golf.
But there’s one thing we’ll be taking seriously — why we’re doing it.
Cancer affects almost all of us in some way. Family, friends, colleagues, people we know and people we never will.
So we're spending an entire day on the golf course to raise money for Cancer Council — helping fund vital cancer research, prevention programs and support for people affected by cancer.
72 holes is a long way. But it’s nothing compared with what some people fighting cancer have to go through.
So if you can spare a few dollars, we'd love your support.
Every donation helps.
Every hole counts.
And every dollar gets us closer to a future where fewer families have to hear the words “you have cancer.”
Please donate and help us make The Longest Day count.
Thanks for backing us — and for helping us turn a very long day of golf into something that really matters.
