I've helped fund 46 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.

I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...

My brother was just 60 when he passed away from lung cancer—despite never having smoked or inhaled anything other than fresh air. His diagnosis and death came as a devastating shock to me, our family, and the many friends whose lives he touched.

He was someone who always put others first. Whether it was organising gatherings, hosting parties, or simply checking in, he gave generously of his time and energy, never asking for anything in return.

It’s now nearly four years since he left us, yet the pain remains. The thought that we’ll never again sit together, sharing stories from the past over a glass of red wine, is a constant reminder of what could have been—if only there were a cure.

Each year, I play golf on this day to raise funds in his memory, hoping to contribute to a future where brothers can stay together for longer.
