I've helped fund 0 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
On 9 November, I'm taking on The Longest Day — four full rounds of golf in a single day at The Kooralbyn Valley, playing alongside my team, The Sandbaggers, captained by James Millar. That's roughly 72 holes, hours in the sun, and legs that will absolutely regret this by the back nine of round four.
I'm doing it because the numbers are hard to ignore: 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Almost everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by it — a parent, a mate, a colleague.
Every dollar raised goes straight to Cancer Council research that's finding better treatments, earlier detection, and ultimately, cures. My goal is $500, and every contribution — big or small — gets me closer.
If you can spare the cost of a coffee, I'd be incredibly grateful. And if you can't donate right now, a share or a word of encouragement means just as much.
Thanks for backing me on this one. Let's make every hole count.
