I've helped fund 2 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
You might wonder why I'd choose golf to raise awareness for cancer. Golf isn't hard... well, it is for me, but whether you like the game or not, playing four full rounds of 18 holes — 72 holes — in a single day is a serious challenge. That's more than 40km of walking, plenty of time spent hunting for lost balls, and the mental battle of trying to hit a ball in a straight line for hour after hour.
It's nothing compared to what people affected by cancer battle every single day. Taking this on is simply my way of shining a light on that fight. I've heard first-hand how valuable the Cancer Council's services are to the people who need them — and without donations, those services may not be there for the people who rely on them.
Any donation you can spare, big or small, is genuinely appreciated. Thank you for supporting me.
