Health Update

Officially one year into treatment, Halloween 2024 was my first round of chemotherapy, so this past weekend marks one year of treatment so far.... And the best news so far is, one more round of chemo to go on 11th November 🙌
What a f..king rollercoaster of a ride this past year has been. So much support from friends and family, have loved all the love I've received, which really kept me positive at some trying times. 

The journey so far

Learning to live with a temporary ileostomy ✅
Chemotherapy(again) - 1 more round to go 🥹😁

The past month and a half has seen my liver function not work properly due to a blood clot in a joining artery, so I'm now on blood thinners for 5 months and monitoring for any changes. This has really made me feel sick as the liver hasn't been able to function properly and filter through all the chemo and other drugs I'm currently prescribed. 
Not a great time but I'm still pushing on with my golf practice to try and complete these 36 holes next week and raise some money for Cancer Council. My body isn't really coping with it all that well at the moment as when I play 18 holes, I then need two days on the couch recovering due to severe muscle pain and migraines. But, we push on.... NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!! 

So close to the end of treatment and back to some normality hopefully 🫶



I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...

...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!

I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.

1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!
