The Toll of 4 golf courses- 3 balls per course

The end result for the longest day golf challenge.

Total of 900 strokes (36 over par) Par 864
Eclectic- best score each hole. 241 strokes (-47 under par) Par 288
Worst hole 14th Hole Quivira par 4. had an 11 from black tees.
216 holes completed. 50 birdies & 6 Eagles.

Destroyed 1 Titleist Driver, 1 pair of Nike Runners, 2 golf balls

Where there is water there is wet balls

As to be expected the 17th hole brought my demise. Only my first tee shot from the green tees hit the landing zone, from the blacks and white tees I drowned several golf balls.

The scorecard blew out and I gave too many shots back to par.

With just one course left, (54 Holes) I tried TPC Sawgrass.

By special request from all the sadists who know I am a victim to my inability to play par 3 holes I reluctantly played Sawgrass knowing the iconic 17th hole island green par 3 would be waiting to ruin my day.
The shanks continued resulting in lots of scoring opportunities turning into bogeys or worse

Pebble Beach Back nine

After 130 plus holes I developed a case of the shanks. Approaches to the green became a nightmare with balls going off 90 degrees into the side walls. The result was too many squares and not enough circles on the score card.

108 holes in it was time to play the famous pebble beach golf course

The first drive for the day was the highlight. A big drive over the dog leg set up an eagle putt on the first green. It wasn't such a good start for the white and Black tee balls. It send the trend for lots of bogeys.

Quivira Back nine was solid except of one drivable par 4

The problem with a short drivable par 4 hole and a stubborn golfer who won't give up. The 14th at Quivira was my tin cup moment. An eagle and 2 massive blow outs with the other balls. It killed what could have been a solid round

2nd round was Quivira course in Mexico

There was a massive difference between the green tees and the black tees at Quivira. The scoring opportunities were aplenty except the new driver was not as reliable as the one I had entered the event with.

A triple bogie on the iconic 17th hole spoiled a good round

Two of the balls finished under par. The green tees should have been a great score except for giving three strokes back on the 2nd last hole

The front nine at St Andrews proved a challenge from the black tees

it wasn't a good start with early bogeys from the back tees. The forward tees made scoring opportunities a regular thing although the putter left a few chances out there

First course completed. St Andrews Old course.

My driver didn't last as long as I did. On the 9th hole the trusty Titliest gave way. Never to be hit again. Luckily, I was in doing the Longest day challenge in a golf venue so I was able to grab a new one to get me through the next 11 and a half rounds.

I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...and adding a twist.

...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!

I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for life saving cancer research.

I am not sure if it has ever been done before however I will try to play three different balls from separate tee boxes. The aim is to play off the Green Tees, Blue Tees and Black tees on each of the four golf courses which will be the equivalent of 12 rounds of golf in 7 hours. If I make it to the finish line and play a reasonable level of golf I will be racking up somewhere in the vicinity of 1000 strokes.

1 in 2 Australians will be affected by cancer by the age of 85, I want to help change this by making every hole count!

Please sponsor me today, because tackling cancer takes all of us.

Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
