Our Longest Day Plan – Winchelsea Golf Course

Start time: 5:30 am (first light)

Finish time: 8:00 pm (last light)

Total rounds: 8 × 9-hole loops = 72 holes

Time per round: 3 hours

Time per hole: 13–14 minutes
That means we’ll be on course for around 16 hours straight, By the end, we’ll have hit hundreds of shots, and lost a mountain of golf balls, all in support of Cancer Council.
We're taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
We’re four very average golfers taking on a very un average cause: The Longest Day, which is 72 holes of golf in one day to raise money for Cancer Council.
Cancer is one of the biggest health challenges we face in Australia. Every year, around 162,000 Australians are diagnosed with cancer, and sadly more than 50,000 lose their lives. It’s the leading cause of death in the country.
Australia also has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world because of our climate and outdoor lifestyle. Two in three Australians will be diagnosed with some form of skin cancer by the age of 70.
Behind the numbers are families, friends and communities whose lives are changed forever.
On Sunday, 16 November, we’ll be playing 8 full rounds 72 holes at Winchelsea Golf Course, from sunrise to sunset.
