G’day legends!
We’re The Rouge Kookaburra GC, a bunch of slightly overconfident golfers (and definitely underprepared athletes) who’ve signed up for The Longest Day that’s 72 holes of golf in one single day all to raise money for the Cancer Council.
That’s right. Four full rounds. One day. No carts. No excuses. Just us, our clubs, and a whole lot of sunscreen.
Why We’re Doing It
We all know someone who’s been hit hard by cancer, family, friends, mates. So, instead of just yelling at our golf balls like usual, we thought we’d put our swings to good use and raise a few bucks for the Cancer Council. Every dollar helps fund research, prevention, and support services for those doing it tough.
The Game Plan
Tee off at sunrise 🌅
Try not to lose all our golf balls before lunch ⛳
Eat approximately 17 pies 🥧
Survive 72 holes without crying or cramping 🥵
Collapse into a heap at sunset 🌇
It’s basically a test of endurance, patience, and whether our friendships can survive an entire day of bad jokes and worse putting.
