I've helped fund 68 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
This year has been a deeply significant one, as it marked the end of Jarrod’s cancer journey in March, at just 49 years old. Watching this unfold — and seeing the impact on all who loved him, especially my wife, Fiona — has been incredibly hard. But it has also reminded me to appreciate the opportunities and moments we still have and how we all need to look forward and keep going.
I also want to acknowledge all the people I know who have been touched by cancer, and to send my support to them and their families. This disease affects our lives in such unfair ways, and I truly hope your donation can help make a difference.
One of the bright spots in Jarrod’s journey was the care and support he received from the Cancer Council in Gosford. Now, I have the chance to give something back.
I’ll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina over four rounds of golf — with some good friends cheering me on — to raise funds for cancer research.
