I've helped fund 14 hours of a research assistant’s time to work on life saving cancer research.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day because I want to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research and treatment
Golf is a sport that my Dad, brother, his partner and myself love playing. In January 2024, we sadly lost our Dad to cancer after being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer 18 months prior.Dad had always loved golf. He played it in his early 20’s on the sand greens of Buraja - where he grew up locally. As he grew older, he stopped playing as family commitments grew. Prior to his diagnosis Dad started playing golf again every Saturday. This became a weekend tradition for our family, as the four of us would play every Saturday up until he couldn’t play anymore.
This day will serve as a reminder of our special bond and celebrate the life of our father and all those affected by cancer.
