I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
the ultimate golf challenge to complete 4 rounds of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with 2 in 3 Australians diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70 and I want to help change this.
Hey everyone, my name is Max Pritchard, for the past 6 years my Dad has been in a fighting battle with Melanoma and in the last 7 months he got a kick in the guts finding out it has progressed into his bones and reached Stage 4. Since then, he has been in and out of hospital and constantly fighting this horrible disease.
His positive outlook and determination to keep fighting is so inspirational and I'm proud to watch him continue about his life as normal. His passion for sports especially golf is why this was the perfect challenge for me. Trying to complete 72 holes of golf which should roughly take 14 hours all to raise awareness and money to hopefully move towards a cancer free future.
I will be completing this challenge with one of my best mates Ryan Cran in late December out at the wonderful Eynesbury Golf Club. He will be helping and supporting me through this challenge. we will be teeing off at roughly 6am and finishing at 7:30pm. It will be a test of both physical as well as mental strength, perseverance, a positive attitude, and teamwork.
All of those qualities needed on this day is exactly what dad has in plenty and more as he continues to battle and fight to still be a loving and supporting father every day.
