Half Moon Bay Golf Club Takes on The Longest Day

Half Moon Bay Golf Club is proud to support Cancer Council's The Longest Day, an endurance golf challenge that sees golfers complete 36, 54 or 72 holes in a single day while raising vital funds for cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
Throughout November, HMBGC is encouraging members and visitors to get involved by taking on the challenge over 36, 54 or 72 holes free of charge, with participants only required to cover the cost of cart hire.
Leading the charge once again are General Manager Tim Mackrill and well-known local radio personality Justin Bell, who will be backing up last year's effort by walking 72 holes for the cause on Thursday, 19 November.
Now they're challenging all Half Moon Bay Golf Club members to step up and join the fight against cancer by participating in the club's Main Event on Friday, 20 November.
The Half Moon Bay 36-Hole Members Challenge
Members are invited to form a team of two and walk 36 holes for the cause. The event will be an Ambrose Format (no scores, no prizes, just fun) with a 7:00am Shotgun Start.
Whether you've been personally impacted by cancer or simply want to support an incredible cause, every step, every hole and every dollar raised will help make a difference.
Cancer affects almost one in two Australians during their lifetime, and funds raised through The Longest Day help Cancer Council continue its life-saving work in research, prevention and support for those impacted by cancer.
Entry Details
The cost to participate in the Half Moon Bay 36-Hole Challenge is $125 per team, the entry fee will include a complimentary meal, drink and live music at the close of the round, with a significant portion of every entry being donated directly to Cancer Council to support its vital work.

Half Moon Bay Golf Club aims to raise as much money as possible for this important cause and is calling on members to rally their mates, lace up their golf shoes and take on the challenge.

Tim Mackrill (General Manager) & Justin Bell (Triple M Presenter) will complete the 72 Hole Challenge on Thursday November 19 Whole of Club 36 Hole Event (7am Shotgun and 12:30pm Shotgun) on Friday November 21. Players looking for individual or team experiences can book all through November
