My Longest Day motivation
I used to play an occasional game of golf with my dear friend Sharon. We went to school together, raised our kids together, ran businesses across the road from each other.
We were looking forward to having some time to play golf together when the kids grew up and we weren’t so busy working. Sharon’s time was up at the age of 52 before our golf days together took off. Cancer took her brave spirit.
I sometimes hear her laugh when I am out there on the golf course and I am overwhelmed momentarily with sadness for the fun times we never had!
Treatment for cancer is improving more and more as the benefits from research are realized.
I participate in the Longest Day for my pal Sharon!
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...because cancer sucks!
...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day!
I'll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.
Because Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70 and I want to help change this.
Please sponsor me today, to make every hole count!
Thank you for your generous donation. Together, let's tee off for a cancer free future.
