Playing 4 Rounds in a Day to Honour My Dad
I’m taking on The Longest Day golf challenge in honour of my dad, Sylvester Wilhelm Caspersz, who we lost to prostate cancer over six years ago. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him, and this is my way of keeping his memory alive while helping others.
On the day, I’ll be pushing myself to play 72 holes of golf, four full rounds in one day, to raise funds for life-saving cancer research. It’s going to be tough, but nothing compared to what Dad went through, and what so many families face every single day.
Cancer has touched too many lives, 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed by the age of 85. I want to help change that statistic by making every shot count, in memory of my dad and for those still fighting.
