We're taking on Cancer Council's The Longest Day...
...the ultimate golf challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day. That's 72 holes!
We'll be testing our skill, strength, and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.
I’m addition to the 72 hole event, there will be a 27 hole event to support this amazing charity event. Although these players may not be doing ‘The Longest Day’ they will be doing a ‘Longer Day’ than a normal game of golf.
Everyone has their own connection to cancer and this event aims to incorporate a social network to assist everyone that has been, and will continue to be affected.

Costs Involved
Minimum individual fundraising effort of greater than $300 for the The Longest Day (72 hole event - Thursday 30th March) and $200 for The Longer Day (27 hole event - Friday 31st March). We anticipate that most individuals will be able to raise in excess of this amount.
What's included on the day
Thanks to the Rottnest Island Authority, Sealink Ferry Company, The Rottnest Island Golf Club and The Brindle Group, all landing fees, transfer (to and from Fremantle) green fees and some food and drink have been donated for these two events. We have also had support from Gypsy Island, Dome Rottnest, Rottnest Island Mini Golf and Sun City Country Club who have donated prizes for the event.

WE HAVE A FULL FIELD FOR THE 2023 EVENT!!!! PLEASE CONTACT MARK IF YOU WISH TO BE ON THE WAITING LIST OR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS INTEREST IN THE 2024 EVENT. Due to travel arrangements and a lack of accommodation on the Island during this period, all participants will need to make arrangements with the Event Coordinator, Mark, on 0457780013 to organise the logistics of the event and receive the organisation code. ‘The Longest Day' - Thursday 30th March - Participants will compete in the traditional Longest Day format. 72 (or 54 or 36) holes in one day. - Players will need to source their own accommodation on the Island. - Participants who can not source their own accommodation can take the 7:00am Ferry from Fremantle and 6:00pm Ferry from Rottnest and complete as many holes as possible in this time frame. - Participants will be playing in a 2-ball format to ensure speed of play and have 'play through' rights over other golfers on the day. Friday 31st March - 'The Longer Day' - Participants will compete in a 27-hole stableford event. - Participants can travel over on the 7:00am (recommended) or 9:00am Sealink ferry to Rottnest. - Shotgun start at approximately 10:00am - Participants will be placed in groups of 4, however, will be playing as a 2-ball to ensure speed of play. You will be paired with someone different for each of the 3 9's. (Requests to play in certain groups is done through Event Coordinator). - Participants can travel home on the 4:00pm or 6:00pm Sealink ferry from Rottnest to Fremantle. - Golfers with and without a GA Handicap and welcome to play (there will be a separate competition for both group). This is the Inaugural Longest Day on Rottnest Island and have already had a number of generous sponsors, especially Rottnest Island Authority, Sealink Ferry Company, Rottnest Island Golf Club, The Brindle Group, Island Gypsy, Dome Rottnest and Rottnest Mini Golf.
