The Big C

Every one will be touched by the dreaded "BIG C" in their lifetime. Whether its a family member, friend or casual acquaintance we all have to deal with the stress of having this in our lives. 

For me personally, my wife Fiona has metastatic breast cancer. She was diagnosed with early breast cancer in 2022 and treated with radiation and chemo. But in 2024 it was back and this time it came in the form of metastatic breast cancer in her bones. 

It's a terrible disease which my parents, my sister, both my aunties and my eldest cousin have all had. Unfortunately, we lost my cousin, Paula, earlier this year at the young age of 68 and that's why I wanted to do something for the Cancer Council. 

So when the opportunity came along to play golf and raise some vital funds for a cause I jumped at it.  Yes, 72 holes in one day will be a massive test, but we are up to it for a very worthy cause. 

On the 10th November, the longest day will be played at courses all around the country so I understand if you can't donate to this cause, but if you live in the centenary suburbs in Brisbane, come down to the Jindalee Golf Club and cheers us on!!

Gazza as you might have heard as Mike, Ross, David lord,the great white etc know I have stage 3 prostrate and pelvic lymph node cancer. After 3 injections if hormone therapy am starting 6 weeks of daily radiation at the mater oncology this Monday 13th Oct. Will be absent at times due to possible side effects n will see you all at times
