The Longest Day Challenge - Completed 14th December 2020

72 Holes of golf over 11 hours on foot (48,000 steps each), over $8,000 raised, and even 17 birdies & 1 eagle, we have completed the challenge.  We are grateful to you, our supporters for the donations, moral support, and special thanks to Mt Lawley Golf Club and members for allowing us to play at your club.  Special thanks to Adam Samulski who escorted us for 54 holes and provided water, snacks, caddy services and positive reinforcement throughout the day.  

Our goal is still $10,000 so we hope to continue to raise funds to hit our goal...

I’m taking on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day...

... the ultimate golfing challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day -walking. That’s 72 holes on foot in the Australian Summer! 

I’ll be testing my skill, strength and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council. 

On a personal level, Cancer has struck twice in my personal life.  This year I Lost my father to Cancer on Australia Day and we loved to play golf together.  In his memory, i've taken up the longest day 72 hole challenge.  Cancer has also taken away a great friend and young mum, Courtney Rampin at just 33 (way to young) also in 2020.  I'm raising funds to do my part in helping the fight against Cancer.
