I’m taking on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day...
Approximately two out of every five people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. A cancer diagnosis will not only impact the cancer sufferer themselves, but their friends and family will be impacted by this life changing event. If you are like me, your mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, or just simply someone you love may be going through this terrible disease.
That being said, I'll be bringing out the golf clubs and part-taking in the Cancer Council's 'longest day', in which I will be playing 72 holes of golf to raise funds for cancer research, prevention and support services. This will undoubtedly test my patience as much as it will test my golfing ability, but it's a small price to pay to support a cause that has a very personal meaning to me.
