We’re taking on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day...
...the ultimate golfing challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day. That’s 72 holes!
We’ll be testing our skill, strength and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.
And yes we get it - me and Steve don't need any more motivation to play golf! It isn't like we are scaling the 3 peaks or running an ultra marathon through the snow.
However, we lost 2 very dear and close friends Jimmy and Bridie this year to this horrible disease.
Both were under the age of 37 with beautiful families that adored them. Both had bowel cancer that modern treatment therapies were ineffective in treating.
This disease is a brutal and needs all of our help and support. We need to figure out faster and more effective ways to treat and manage the condition, to give people a fighting chance.
Jimmy loved golf and we had many special memories out on the course, particularly in the last year. This is a small way we can remember both him and Bridie.
