Terms and Conditions – Hero Fundraiser

To be eligible to receive a free ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat, you must be registered as an individual for The Longest Day 2021 and you must fundraise $720 or more through your personal online fundraising page, during the period commencing at 9:00 am AEDT Monday 6 September 2021 and finishing at 11.59 pm AEST on Monday 31 January 2022 (the Promotion Period). 

If you meet the eligibility criteria above, once you raise $720 you will receive an email from Cancer Council notifying you of your eligibility to receive a ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat. The email will contain a link to our online store, together with a one-time 100% discount code for one ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat. You will need to go to our online store, submit your order, and apply the discount code during checkout. 

Cancer Council’s supplier will dispatch your bucket hat order within a reasonable time of receipt of those details using Australia Post. Cancer Council is not responsible for any delays or failures in delivery once the item is deposited with Australia Post. Only one ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat is available per person. The ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat is not redeemable for cash, and eligibility to receive a ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat does not entitle you to a refund of any price previously paid for a bucket hat.  

The ‘Longest Day’ bucket hat offer and discount code will expire if you do not submit an order by 11.59 pm AEST on 28 February 2022. 

Cancer Council reserves the right, at any time, to verify your eligibility to receive the discount code. The decision of Cancer Council shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Terms and Conditions – Highest Individual Fundraiser Competition

1. Instructions on how to enter the The Longest Day 2021 (the Event) Highest Fundraising Individual Competition (the Competition) and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.

2. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions.

3. The promoter of this Competition is The Cancer Council NSW (ABN 51 116 463 846), 153 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, (02) 9334 1900 (the Promoter).

4. The Competition commences at 12.00am AEST on 8 September 2021 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 31 January 2022 (the Promotion Period).

5. This Competition is only open to Event participants who are Australian residents aged 18 years or over, or if under 18 years of age have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian, and who:

a) have registered to participate in the Event; and
b) arrange donations through their personal online fundraising page for the Event within the Promotion Period; and
c) are not an Employee of the Promoter or a relative of any employee of the promoter.

Qualifying Participant

6. Qualifying Participants are automatically entered into the Competition, with a limit of one entry per person.

Prize

7. The prize winner will be the Qualifying Participant who meets the eligibility criteria above and is the Highest Individual Fundraiser for the Event as judged by the Promoter at 12pm AEDT on 1 February 2022 at the Promoter’s head office.

The Highest Individual Fundraiser will be determined based on the total individual fundraising tally as shown on the Entrant’s personal by the Promoter at 11.59pm AEST on 31 January 2022.

The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. The prize is a choice of either a fully fitted set of Tour Edge Exotics EXS Pro Forged irons – 7 piece (valued at AUD $1,500) or an AUD $1,500 Drummond Golf gift voucher to spend on any Tour Edge products, and an exclusive Drummond Golf MiMatch.

9. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included. The prize is not redeemable for cash. If a prize or element of a prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.

10. The winner will be notified via email or phone from 1pm AEDT on 1 February 2022 and to claim the prize, must provide their best phone number, State and in order for Drummond Golf to be in contact with the winner and arrange delivery of their nominated prize. Drummond Golf will also confirm arrangements for the MiMatch fitting at the winner’s preferred store.

11. If the prize is not claimed with 14 days of being notified, the prize will be awarded to the next highest individual fundraiser for the Event during the Promotion Period as judged by the Promoter. The same process will be repeated until the prize is either claimed, or three months has elapsed, after which it will be sold and proceeds paid to The Cancer Council NSW.

12. The promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail or fundraising amounts that are not included in a participant’s online fundraising page for the Event within the Promotion Period.

13. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this Competition and for other marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Collection Statement.

14. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions or who tampers with the entry process.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
