Terms and Conditions – Private Masterclass with Paul Gow 

Entry 

  1. Instructions on how to enter the Private Masterclass with Paul Gow Competition (the Competition) and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions. 
  2. The promoter of this competition is The Cancer Council NSW (ABN 51 116 463 846), 153 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, (02) 9334 1900 (the Promoter). 
  3. The competition commences at 9.00 am AEST Friday 28 August 2020 and finishes at 11.59 pm AEDT Monday 26 October (the Promotion Period). 
  4. To enter this competition, individuals (Entrants) must register to participate in ‘The Longest Day’ (the Event) during the Promotion Period. 
  5. Entry is automatic and limited to one per person. 
  6. Entry is open to Australian residents who are over the age of 18 only. 
  7. Employees of the Promoter are not eligible to enter. 

Prize 

8. The prize is 1 x Private Golf Masterclass (6-hour) with Paul Gow experience (valued at AUD $1,250 (RRP)) which includes: 

  • access to Member Only Private Golf Club 
  • play 9 holes with Paul Gow in cart 
  • Video Swing Analysis 
  • Lunch/drinks and post-game beverages.  

Flights and accommodation up to the value of AUD $1,000 (inclusive of GST) will also be paid for by the Promoter if the prize winner lives outside of Sydney. The prize must be redeemed before 29 October 2022.  

9. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize (including but not limited to additional travel outside the prize inclusions, spending money, meals, taxes, personal, property, and health insurance, and transfers to and from the departure point unless specified) are not included. The prize is not redeemable for cash. If the prize or an element of the prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu. 

10. This is a game of chance. The prize winner will be randomly drawn by the Promoter from the pool of Entrants who meet the eligibility criteria set out above. 

11. The prize will be drawn at 12.00 pm AEDT on Thursday 29 October 2020 at the Promoter’s head office. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

12. The winner will be notified by Paul Gow via phone from 3.00 pm AEDT on Thursday 29 October 2020 and must book the time and date of their masterclass experience within 7 days of the prize being drawn. 

13. If the winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of the draw, the prize will be forfeited by the winner.  

14. If the prize is not claimed, a second draw will be held at 12.00 pm AEDT on Friday 13 November 2020 at the Promoter’s head office to re-draw the prize. The winner of the redraw will be notified by Paul Gow via phone where masterclass details will be arranged.  

15. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions or who tampers with the entry process. 

16. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion and for other marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Collection Statement. 

17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice. 

Terms and Conditions – Exclusive Membership Ball Marker

To be eligible to receive The Longest Day 2020 Exclusive Membership Ball Marker, you must register for The Longest Day 2020 and fundraise through your personal online fundraising page during the period commencing at 9:00 am AEDT Friday 28 August 2020 and finishing at 11.59 pm on Sunday 31 January 2021 (the Promotion Period). 

If you meet the eligibility criteria above, after the Promotion Period has ended you will automatically receive the Exclusive Membership Ball Marker by mail to the postal address you provided to Cancer Council during registration 

Cancer Council reserves the right, at any time, to verify your eligibility to receive the Exclusive Membership Ball Marker. The decision of Cancer Council shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

Terms and Conditions – Champion Fundraiser

To be eligible to receive free personalised ‘The Longest Day’ T-shirtyou must be registered as an individual for The Longest Day 2020 and you must fundraise $2,500 or more through your personal online fundraising page, during the period commencing at 9:00 am AEDT Friday 28 August 2020 and finishing at 11.59 pm on Sunday 31 January 2021 (the Promotion Period). 

If you meet the eligibility criteria above, once you raise $2,500 you will receive an email from Cancer Council notifying you of your eligibility to receive a personalised t-shirt. The email will contain a link to our online t-shirt store, together with a one-time 100% discount code.  You will need to go to our online t-shirt store, enter the personalised message you wish to have printed on your t-shirt (maximum 35 characters), submit your order, and apply the discount code during checkout. 

Cancer Council reserves the right to review your personalised message submission and will not print any personalised message that in Cancer Council NSW’s reasonable opinion is inappropriate, offensive, or infringes another person’s intellectual property rights. 

Cancer Council’s supplier will dispatch your t-shirt order within a reasonable time of receipt of those details using Australia Post. Cancer Council is not responsible for any delays or failures in delivery once the item is deposited with Australia Post.  Only one t-shirt is available per person. The t-shirt is not redeemable for cash, and eligibility to receive a t-shirt does not entitle you to a refund of any price previously paid for a t-shirt.  The personalised ‘Longest Day’ T-shirt offer discount code will expire if you do not submit an order by 11.59 pm on 14 February 2021. 

Cancer Council reserves the right, at any time, to verify your eligibility to receive the discount code. The decision of Cancer Council shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Terms and Conditions – Highest Individual Fundraiser Competition

1. Instructions on how to enter the Highest Fundraising Individual Competition (the Competition) and prizes form part of these conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions.

2. The promoter of this competition is The Cancer Council NSW (ABN 51 116 463 846), 153 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, (02) 9334 1900 (the Promoter).

3. The competition commences at 12.00am AEST on 28 August 2020 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 31 January 2021 (the Promotion Period).

4. This competition is open to persons (Entrants) who:

a. register to participate in The Longest Day 2020 (the Event); and

b. arrange donations through their personal online fundraising page for the Event within the Promotion Period.

5. Entry is free and automatic. Only one entry is permitted per person.

6. The competition is open to Australian residents only. Employees of the Promoter and of its members are ineligible to enter.

7. The prize winner will be the Entrant who meets the eligibility criteria above and is the Highest Individual Fundraiser for the Event as judged by the Promoter at 12pm AEDT on 1 February 2021 at the Promoter’s head office. The Highest Individual Fundraiser will be determined based on the total individual fundraising tally as shown on the Entrant’s personal online fundraising page and funds received by the Promoter at 11.59pm AEDT on 31 January 2021. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. The prize is a choice of either a fully fitted set of Wilson Staff D7 Forged irons – 7 piece (valued at AUD $1,200) or a AUD $1,200 Drummond Golf gift voucher to spend on Wilson Staff products, and an exclusive Drummond Golf MiMatch fitting.

9. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included. The prize is not redeemable for cash. If a prize or element of a prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.

10. The winner will be notified via email or phone from 1pm AEDT on 1 February 2021 and must provide their best phone number, State and postcode in order for Drummond Golf to be in contact with the winner and arrange delivery of the prize.

11. If the prize is not claimed with 14 days of the Draw, the prize will be awarded to the next highest individual fundraiser for the Event during the Promotion Period as judged by the Promoter. The winner of the redraw will be notified via email or phone.

12. The promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries, late, lost or misdirected mail or fundraising amounts that are not included in a participant’s or team’s online fundraising page for the Event within the Promotion Period.

13. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this Competition and for other marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Collection Statement.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Terms and Conditions – Social Media Photo Prize draw

1. Instructions on how to enter the The Longest Day 2020 Facebook and Instagram Photo Prize Draw (the Competition) form part of these conditions. Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions.

2. The promoter of this Competition is Cancer Council NSW (ABN 51 116 463 846), 153 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, (02) 9334 1900 (the Promoter).

3. The Competition commences at 12.00am AEDT on 1 December 2020 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 31 December 2020 (the Promotion Period).

4. To enter the Competition, an individual (Entrant) must be a registered participant in The Longest Day 2020 (the Event) and:

a. during the Promotion Period, upload a photograph taken at their Event to Facebook or Instagram;

b. in the photograph description nominate a team member from their Event for one of following categories:

• Top Shot

• Best Bogie

• Best and Fairest

• Best Dressed

• Pun of the Day

• Sun Smart

c. tag the Promoter in the photograph using the tag ‘@CancerCouncilTheLongestDay’ on Facebook or ‘@the_longest_day_’ on Instagram;

d. tag at least one friend in the post; and

e. have the consent of any subjects identifiable from the photographs entered into this Competition (including parental consent if the subject is under the age of 16).

Entry is automatic. Only one entry is permitted per category.

5. The Entrant’s Instagram account must be public and must not be set to private to be eligible. The Entrant’s post on Facebook must be set to public to be eligible, however their profile may be private. Uploaded photographs must be submitted in accordance with Instagram’s and Facebook’s requirements.

6. The competition is open to Australian residents only. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. Employees of the Promoter and of its members are ineligible to enter.

7. The prizes are 12 x The Longest Day Golf Essentials Prize Pack which will include a selection of the following items:

• 1 x The Longest Day towel

• 1 x Cancer Council socks

• 1 x Callaway cap

• 1 x Srixon Q Star balls (pack of 3)

• 1 x Redback tees (pack of 12)

• 1 x Pitch mark repairer

• 1 x scorecard pencil.

8. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. All prize values are the recommended retail price including GST (where applicable). The prize is not redeemable for cash. If a prize or element of a prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.

9. This is a game of chance with no fee payable for entry (a gratuitous lottery). The winning entry will be determined by a random draw from the pool of Entrants who have met the eligibility criteria set out above.

10. The judging will take place at the Promoter’s head office, 153 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo NSW at or before 11.00am AEDT on Monday 11 January 2021.

11. The winner will be announced publicly on the Promoter’s Facebook and Instagram pages and notified individually via Facebook or Instagram direct message from midday AEDT on Monday 11 January 2021. The winner must provide their postal address for the prize to be sent to. The winner acknowledges that, in order to receive the message from the Promoter, they must accept the Promoter’s “follow” or “friend” request.

12. Prizes will be emailed within fourteen (14) days of the draw. In the event that a winner does not provide a postal address within 14 days of the draw, the prize will be forfeited by the winner. If the prize is not claimed, a second draw will be held at 11.00am AEDT on Monday 25 January 2021 in the Cancer Council NSW office to re-draw the prize. The winner of the redraw will be notified via email or phone and must provide their postal address for the prize to be sent to.

13. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, social media handle, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are the winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and promoting the Event.

14. The Entrant must be the creator and the copyright owner of any images they enter into the Competition.

15. The Entrant retains copyright of their images.

16. The Entrant provides the Promoter with a limited licence to display, print and distribute the images for the purpose of the Competition and any other marketing purposes.

17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

18. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

19. Any entries that contain content that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, considers to be offensive, inappropriate or objectionable in any way or to infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity, will not be accepted as eligible entries into the Competition. This includes, but is not limited to, any entry which the Promoter considers to be disparaging to its products and/or services or is otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the Competition.

21. The Promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions.
